COERR joined with Tharae-Nongsang, Chiang Mai, Udon Thani, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Surat Thani DISAC to organize the Community Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM) training for 17 target villages, 944 participants in Sakon Nakhon, Chiang Mai, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchsima and Phang-nga provinces.

The aim of the training were to strengthen the capacities of local community-based structures in order to enhance their efficiency and local abilities to address their recovery and rehabilitation needs, as well as to build their capability to minimize risks and thereby reduce the possibilities of future emergencies.
